Rum

Rum is a distilled product of the distillation of alcohol from beet or cane sugar and molasses especially these 2 products.
From ancient Greece knew the fermentation of sugar for processing into alcohol, although further distilled to the decisive transformation were not discovered until the seventeenth century in the Caribbean.

Each producing country has its own classification rum rum. The main differences are the product used, the type of aging and degree of sweetness:
- Rum of Hispanic origin (Cuba, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Spain), is the most diverse, and often lighter. There are both dry and sweet. The sweetest honey is rum, typical of the Canaries.
- The British rum (Barbados, Jamaica, Guyana) are generally spicy and sweet.
- The were of French origin (Martinique and Guadeloupe), is the driest, and is usually aged in oak only. There are flavored and distilled directly from sugar cane, never molasses.

Rumgold or black with the difference that has been aged in oak barrels, which gives aromas of vanilla, toast and caramel, and usually more expensive than the white rum appreciated.
